Middle School Composers’ Concert: Debussy Disséqué et Réimaginé

This is a special concert of new piano pieces by Middle School composers, created
by Purcell’s Composer-In-Association, Robert Saxton. They analysed and discussed
Voiles (from Preludes, Book 1) by Debussy and each young composer was invited to
use the piece as a starting point for a piano piece of their own.
In this concert, we will hear eight fascinating world premieres, some performed by
the composers themselves and others by their friends.
